When the Website Becomes the Bottleneck
Most marketing teams don’t need a new website. They need the one they have to work, and someone accountable for keeping it that way.
- Your developer or agency stopped answering, or moved on.
- Every new page or campaign waits on someone technical.
- Forms send leads to the wrong place, or nowhere.
- Updates keep getting postponed because something might break.
- The site is slow, and nobody can say why.
- You inherited the site, and nothing is written down.
How it works
One Person Accountable for the Whole Site
Every engagement starts with a defined first project. You see the scope and the price in writing before any work begins.
- 01
Take over safely
I get access to everything: hosting, domain, WordPress, plugins and forms. I set up backups and a staging copy, and write down how your site actually works.
- 02
Fix what costs you the most
We agree on the problems getting in your team’s way, from broken forms and slow pages to fragile plugins and editing pain, and I work through them.
- 03
Prove it works
I test publishing and every lead route end to end, from the form to the inbox and your CRM, so nothing fails quietly.
- 04
Keep it moving
After that, updates, security, fixes and improvements continue on a schedule you choose. Ongoing work runs as Managed Web Infrastructure.
You keep WordPress, and you own everything: the accounts, the code and the content.

Who you work with
No Account Managers: You Work With Me
I’m Douglas Choate, founder of Choate Catalysts. Since 2017 I’ve built websites and the marketing systems behind them: content, forms, CRM connections and the automation in between. I also build and sell WordPress plugins of my own.
The person you talk to is the person doing the work.

Questions Worth Asking First
Do we have to leave WordPress?
No. Your team keeps the editor it knows. If a rebuild turns out to make sense, it can stay on WordPress too.
Can you take over from our current developer or agency?
Yes. That’s a common starting point. I begin by getting access and writing down how the site works, so nothing depends on the previous team.
What does it cost?
It depends on the site and what needs to change, so I quote after I’ve looked. You get a fixed price in writing before any work begins, and ongoing support is priced to the work your team actually needs.
Do you handle hosting?
I work with your current host, or recommend a move when it would fix a real problem: speed, reliability or support.
Who owns the work?
You do. Accounts stay in your name, and the code and content are yours.
What if you’re no longer available?
Your site won’t depend on me. How it works is written down, and the accounts, code and content are yours, so another developer can pick it up.
What if we need a full rebuild or a migration?
Then I scope it as its own project, with its own fixed price. How I plan a WordPress migration.
