Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect information when you visit choatecatalysts.com or work with us.

This Privacy Policy describes how Choate Catalysts (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit our website at choatecatalysts.com (the “Site”) or otherwise interact with us. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically when you use the Site.

Information You Provide

You may provide information when you:

  • Submit our contact form or otherwise email us (name, email address, company, role, and the contents of your message);
  • Request an AI visibility scan (the domain you submit, your email address, and any context you provide);
  • Send a message to the assistant on the Site (the contents of your messages);
  • Engage with us as a client or prospective client (information you share in connection with that engagement);
  • Otherwise communicate with us via email or other channels.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, which may include:

  • Device and browser information (browser type, operating system, screen resolution);
  • Usage information (pages visited, time spent, referring website, links clicked);
  • Approximate location based on IP address;
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see “Cookies” below).

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and engagement requests;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
  • Understand how visitors use the Site and measure the effectiveness of our content;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms;
  • Protect against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We share information with third parties that perform services on our behalf, such as analytics, email delivery, and customer relationship management. These providers are required to handle information consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  • Legal compliance. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the rights of others, or the safety of any person.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your consent. We may share information with your consent or at your direction.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and analyze its use. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use:

  • Essential cookies required for the Site to function.
  • Analytics cookies (including Google Analytics) to understand how visitors interact with the Site.

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site.

Third-Party Services

The Site uses third-party services that may process information about you, including:

  • Google Analytics for traffic analysis. Google’s privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Workspace for business email and document storage.
  • Cloudflare, which serves the Site and processes form submissions at the edge.
  • Brevo, which delivers our email and stores contact records. Information you submit through our forms and the assistant is sent to Brevo.
  • Google Cloud Run, which hosts the AI visibility scanner and the assistant service. The domain and email address you submit to the scanner are processed there.
  • Google Gemini, which powers the assistant and parts of the visibility scan. The messages you send to the assistant are processed by Gemini. We use Google’s enterprise tier, which under Google Cloud’s terms does not use customer data to train Google’s models.

Each of these services operates under its own privacy practices, which we encourage you to review.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the services described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Inquiry and engagement records are retained as part of our standard business records.

Your Rights

You may:

  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your information.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you specific rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, including the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. The lawful bases on which we rely include our legitimate interests (for operating the Site and improving our services) and the performance of any contract we have with you. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
