Astro for marketing teams
A Faster Website Your Team Can Still Edit
I build marketing websites in Astro: pages that load fast, have no database behind them to break into, and stay easy for your team to update. You work directly with me, a Boston-based marketing engineer. You’re looking at one of them.

When Astro Is the Right Call
Astro suits marketing websites: pages and articles that need to be fast, found and hard to break. If yours needs something else, I’ll say so.
- Speed and search visibility matter to your pipeline.
- Plugin and security updates keep eating your team’s time.
- Your site is mostly pages, articles and forms, not logins or a store.
- You’re rebuilding anyway, and want it to last.
- You want a site that keeps working if a vendor changes course.
How it works
One Person From Plan to Launch
Every project starts with a fixed scope and price in writing, before any work begins.
- 01
Plan the move
I inventory your pages and decide what happens to every address, so your search rankings and inbound links carry over.
- 02
Build in Astro
Templates, components and forms, built to load fast and wired to the CRM and tools your team already uses.
- 03
Keep editing easy
Your team edits in WordPress, a headless CMS, or simple files: whichever it will actually use.
- 04
Launch and look after it
Redirects and checks at launch, then updates and improvements on a schedule you choose. Ongoing work runs as Managed Web Infrastructure.
You own everything: the accounts, the code and the content.

Who you work with
No Account Managers: You Work With Me
I’m Douglas Choate, founder of Choate Catalysts. Since 2017 I’ve built websites and the marketing systems behind them: content, forms, CRM connections and the automation in between.
This website is built in Astro, and the walkthrough shows exactly how, from the build to the tests. The person you talk to is the person doing the work.
Before you write
Questions Worth Asking First
Can our team still edit pages?
Yes. You can keep WordPress as the editor, use a headless CMS, or edit simple files. We pick what your team will actually use.
Will we lose our search rankings?
Not if the move is planned well. Every old address gets a deliberate destination, checked before and after launch. No one can guarantee rankings, but a careful move protects what you have.
Is Astro right for every website?
No. Sites with logins, online stores or heavy daily publishing may be better on WordPress. I’ll tell you which fits before you spend anything.
What does it cost?
It depends on the site and what it needs to do, so I quote after I’ve looked. You get a fixed price in writing before any work begins.
Where does it run?
Usually on Cloudflare, like this site, but an Astro site can run on most hosts.
Who owns the work?
You do. Accounts stay in your name, and the code and content are yours.
What if you’re no longer available?
Your site won’t depend on me. How it works is written down, and the accounts, code and content are yours, so another developer can pick it up.
